Our family business

From Scratch With Love!

Bon Appetit Creperie (BAC), a family-owned business established in 2017. Our story begins with our eldest sister, Lalla Mourtada and her husband Shawket, who ventured into the Crêpe business by opening a stand in Harrisburg, PA.

We (Salma & Samira and Mimi) then decided to bring culinary expertise to Boston. In 2018, we opened our own stand in the bustling Boston Public Market, 3 years later, opened our second Crêperie in Chicago, inside the Chicago French Market.


Before BAC, we scoured the greater Boston area for authentic crêpes but found none that matched the flavors we grew up with. Drawing from our mother, Mimi’s lifelong passion for cooking and her exceptional skills in the kitchen, we saw an opportunity to create a Crêperie that offered a diverse range of sweet and savory crêpes and waffles, blending authentic French, Mediterranean, and African flavors.

BAC's mission is simple yet profound: to introduce Boston and Chicago residents and tourists alike to European-style crêpes at an affordable price without compromising on quality. Our rich West and North African heritage have provided us with a wealth of flavor experiences, which we have incorporated into our menu offerings.

At BAC, we take pride in using only the finest and healthiest ingredients to craft our unique crêpes. We understand the challenges of finding delicious food that meets dietary restrictions, and our menu reflects our commitment to catering to a wide range of dietary needs. From savory to sweet, our menu features an array of freshly prepared, high-quality crepes made to order.
